Perfect Morning

The Husband and the oldest kid left for Dallas this morning. He’s got business and she was craving Whataburger. lol If ever we needed positive proof that she is my child (ha!) it comes in the form that she’s willing to ride in a car hauler for 9 hours just for Whataburger. And I completely understand. I’d be on my way too if it weren’t for having a job myself. blah.

So they got up around 4:15 and left a little after 5:00 a.m. As per usual, the boy child got up to tell his Dad goodbye (and even got a hug from his Sister … Wha?!) and by the time they left, we were wide awake.

He looked at me and said … I’m thinking BREAKFAST! And I completely agreed.

So we headed out to Penny’s Diner.

I had eggs, bacon && Toast. He had biscuits and gravy and ganked my hash browns (which I hate anyways) and covered them in syrup. Yummmmmmmmmm.

Afterward, since the sun wasn’t even up yet, we headed back home and crawled in my bed to watch TV and doze for another hour or so before School started.

Father and Daughter get some quality time in Texas for 3 days.
Mother and Son get some quality time at home for 3 days.
Sounds good to me !!!!!

In other news. Halloween was FUN this year. We actually had trick or treaters !!! And my sweet baby niece was the cutest little piggy on the block! Exhibit A:

I love you..... You got any candy?!

Told ya.
She makes my heart melt.

Ohh and this month is NaBloPoMo (which I can never remember how to spell). National Blog Posting Month. I never make all 30 days … but I’m gonna try again this year.

It’s also the month to stop and realize the things that you are thankful for in your life. So I’ll add that to my post every day as well. Today I’m thankful for ….

Early morning breakfast with my Son. Cracking up laughing in Penny’s Diner (at 5:45 a.m.) over the silliest things. Taylor saying …. that guy probably thinks we’re NUTS …. and then us BOTH shrugging at the same time saying WHO CARES lol.

Also the fact that he feels comfortable enough to tell his Mom some of the things that have been going on at School. I completely realize that it makes me VERY fortunate in that not every Freshman wants his parentals to know “stuff.” Makes me smile that he considers me his friend too.

Hashbrowns with syrup? yes, please and thank you! LOVE them that way. Sounds like a fun morning! and I feel bad that I take Whataburger for granted. I kinda don’t like it, only because my hubby makes us eat it ALL the time. Oh, and have you ever noticed that the Whataburger ketchup is probably the best ketchup in all the land? true story.

I’d probably hate Whataburger if I could have it every day. But once a year (for me) makes me crave it lol. And YES it’s a true story. I gave my kid ONE mission. STEAL. KETCHUP. I got a bunch back in August when we went to Florida and I’m already out lol. It’s laced with crack I tell ya.
