Last night was a really good night.
Nothing exciting.
I just felt good.
And got a lot done.

Got off work a little after 5 and headed home. When I got there, both of my kiddos were there. They’re teenagers. That’s very rare for them both to be around and not have plans. So the three of us decided to get started on dinner together before the Dad got home from work. We made Spaghetti with a meat sauce that was to die for … green beens and corn … and grilled garlic bread. Yummmmmmm. Was so good.

After dinner my Daughter went to hang with her friends for a while and the boys decided to work off their calories at the Gym. So I had the house to myself.

I missed Tuesday’s Deadliest Catch because the boys took me to the movies to see Fast Five (Paul Walker=YUM!) so I decided to get caught up on my Tivo’d shows while I cleaned.

In the two hours they were gone I kicked my house’s ASS! Cleaned up the kitchen .. ran the dishwasher .. unloaded it-reloaded it and started it again! (I had cleaned out all the dishes from my kid’s rooms. TWO loads for the dishwasher. Geeze.) I swept and mopped floors. I dusted. I cleaned bathrooms. I collected all the trash and carried it out to the garage. I started the laundry several times and hung up all the clean clothes from the laundry room. I made beds. I sorted and threw away junk mail. I was on fire!

Sometimes it just feels good to be alone. Turn up the TV … turn off my thoughts and PURGE the ick from my house.

The boys got home … my girl got home … and we settled in to watch American Idol.

I want Jacob to GO HOME already. He’s annoying and I’ve had ENOUGH of his screeching! After that I’m torn on who should go home and in what order. I love Scottie and Lauren a lot … but they’re such babies. And Haley (however she spells it) is always just hit and miss with me. Last night she was AMAZING on House of the Rising Sun. That is HER song for sure. But overall I want James to win. I love his story. I love his voice. I love his little quirks. But most of all I love that he has Asperger’s and Tourette’s … but when he hits that stage … it all disappears and he is AMAZING.

Tonight’s agenda is to tan at 5… followed by dinner (roast, carrots, potatoes && salad). Then watch the Idol results and the Grey’s wedding. I’m gonna get in my PJs, watch my shows and pay bills on the laptop and then work on Sissy’s Graduation Announcements that MUST go out tomorrow. MUST.

Ohh and I might just have to find time to sneek in a hot bubble bath and read me some new Sookie. Cause look what came in the mail today !!!!! Yay!
